Choirs
Music is an important part of our praying together as a community and adds to the honor and glory of God through the lifting of our voices to God in song. As St. Augustine says, "To sing is to pray twice.” The ministry of song has much to do with the liturgical life of the community and enhances the experiences of the worshipping assembly. This ministry has many facets including singing in the choir, cantoring, and playing an instrument, All Saints has two Choirs in which to make a joyful noise:Our All Saints English Choir is open to 9th graders through older adults. This Choir sings at the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass and occasionally the 5:30 PM Mass. All you need is a pleasant voice and a willingness to attend rehearsals (Thursdays from 7-9PM in the 2-story building) and liturgies as scheduled. There is no need for prior experience in choir. Our All Saints Spanish Choir is also open to 9th graders through older adults. This Choir sings at the 12:30 PM Spanish Sunday liturgy and rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 -9:00 PM in the 2-story building. There is no need for prior experience in choir. If you play an instrument, we would welcome your talent which would add greatly to the liturgy of the mass. Rehearsal time would be the same for each of the choirs listed above.Do not miss a great opportunity to praise God, share your talent with the parish, enjoy singing and meet wonderful people. Come make a joyous noise to the Lord! For more information Mary Gahr at 713 864 2653 ext 207
